About you
We’re seeking a confident and experienced Senior Youth Support Worker who can lead with purpose and passion. You’ll bring a strong foundation in youth work, ideally with a qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 4, and a proven track record of managing outreach or detached youth work. You’ll be a natural leader—able to supervise staff, build partnerships, and develop services that respond to the needs of vulnerable young people.
You’ll be someone who thrives in dynamic environments, with the ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends. You’ll have excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of safeguarding, and the ability to engage young people who may be reluctant to access support. Most importantly, you’ll be committed to inclusion, empowerment, and making a lasting difference in the lives of young people across Reading.

Sefton Youth Justice Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Victim and Restorative Justice Officer. This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE / 18 hours per week), working collaboratively with the current post holder to share responsibilities for the full-time position.
We are looking for someone with experience in supporting victims of youth offending, ensuring they are informed, empowered, and actively involved in the outcomes related to the children who have committed offences. You will play a key role in making sure victims receive appropriate support and that their needs and wishes are acknowledged and addressed.

As a member of the coaching team, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality sessions and courses, and the facilitation of our Pay &amp; Play hire. We are looking for enthusiastic instructors/coaches, who are passionate about the benefits of the outdoor experience and can deliver safe and fun sessions. In addition to activity delivery, you will be required to assist in the general running of a busy leisure and outdoor activity Centre eg equipment storage and maintenance.&nbsp;
Our current activities include canoeing, kayaking, sailing, raft building, bell boating, team building and archery and more are in the pipeline. You'll lead a team of up to 30 staff and manage an annual budget of up to £2 million, ensuring that all services meet the highest quality standards. About You We're seeking a candidate with a proven track record of successful leadership and management in a multi-disciplinary setting, preferably within Children &amp; Young People Services. You should be a resilient and solution-focused professional with a strong analytical ability.Essential Requirements:<ul><li>Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofsted, HMIP, YJB Practice Standards) and safeguarding processes.</li><li>Up-to-date knowledge of the contemporary evidence base within youth justice and prevention, including the Child First Framework</li><li>Significant experience in a senior leadership role, successfully managing a large and diverse staff team.</li><li>Demonstrable experience of high-quality management of work with children, young people, and their families.</li><li>Proven experience in forging and managing successful partnerships.</li><li>Experience of leading a multi-agency team through significant change.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Abilities:<ul><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data to improve service outcomes.</li><li>The ability to inspire confidence and build a high degree of credibility with stakeholders.</li><li>Effective budget management skills.</li><li>Educated to degree level or equivalent, or with equivalent relevant work experience.
