Salary: £5,758, hourly rate £12.85

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organised person to help support our busy and thriving Busy Bee Wrap Around Care provision at Blakedown CE Primary School. We would like to appoint a person who is dedicated to providing interesting indoor and outdoor activities and is passionate about supporting children's social, emotional and physical needs to ensure the children enjoy their time in our after school club. . Previous experience of working with children in a school or play setting is desirable, and you must be able to demonstrate patience and empathy and be able to remain calm under pressure.
You will be working as part of a team of warm, dedicated staff to provide food and a safe, caring and stimulating environment, supporting and encouraging creative and imaginative play activities.
You will have - excellent communication skills; an understanding of safeguarding; behaviour management experience; ability to suggest, plan and lead activities in the provision.
The job role:
- Prepare food (on occasion), according to the menu and with respect to hygiene practices;
- Lead activities including arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games;
- Be proactive and use initiative;
- Ensure all children are included, engage and support them;
- Maintain positive working relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues;
