Job Title: Wellness Instructor

Castle Point Borough Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Fitness Instructor to support individuals in achieving their health and fitness goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for customers of the Council's leisure facilities.
  • Carry out daily operating procedures of the fitness suite, including inductions, coaching, training, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Conduct regular personal training sessions, maintaining high service and professional manner.
  • Ensure good customer care and keep track of client records.
  • Act professionally to promote Castle Point Borough Council positively, in line with its policies and cultures.

Requirements:

  • Current First Aid Qualification
  • Level 2 certificate in Fitness Instructing (approved by REPS)
  • Level 3 certificate in advanced Fitness Instructing (approved by REPS)
  • Experience working in a gym environment or leisure industry
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and processes
  • Customer care experience and knowledge
  • Ability to adapt and accommodate to any situation while delivering fitness advice
  • Good organisational skills and ability to maintain customer records

Working Arrangements:

We are recruiting for 4 x roles and whilst we current are recruiting for 4 x set shift patterns these shifts are subject to change to the needs of the service. The contracts we are recruiting for are as following ;

13 hours , 12 hours x 2 & 15.5 hours.
