Barnsley Museums volunteer programme has continued to grow and diversify across the five venues we directly manage. Volunteering brings people together to share skills, build confidence and make culture and heritage welcoming for all. Our volunteers are central to creating inclusive, high quality experiences we can all take pride in.
We are looking to recruit a coordinator for Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens, to lead our volunteer programme on site. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will:
- Support and encourage volunteers to feel welcomed, valued and part of the team.
- Work honestly and collaboratively with staff to develop meaningful, accessible volunteering opportunities.
- Lead on volunteer recruitment, inductions and training, helping people do their best.
- Communicate clearly and positively, building strong, respectful relationships.
- Take pride in maintaining accurate records and promoting a safe, inclusive volunteering culture.
- Help deliver an excellent volunteer and visitor experience every day.
