Mersey Ferries is entering a defining moment. With the construction of the Royal Daffodil — the first new Mersey Ferry in more than 60 years — our fleet is undergoing major renewal and modernisation.

We are now recruting for a 12 month fixed term vacancy.

We are seeking a Vessel Engineer with a Marine Electrical specialism, including High Voltage (HV) competence, to join us at this exciting point in our journey.

What You’ll Bring

Essential

• •Time-served Marine Engineer (Level 3 minimum)
• •A formal, recognised qualification in Marine Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
• •High Voltage (HV) training, with evidence of competence
• •Strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation and compliance

• •A methodical, safety-focused approach
• •Confidence to ask questions and challenge safely
• •Clear communication and teamwork
• •Willingness to learn and share knowledge

3) Strong understanding of health, safety and compliance within a safety-critical engineering environment
