    The Role:

    Liverpool City Council is on a significant transformation journey and we’re seeking to appoint an outstanding Transformation Business Partner on a fixed-term basis up to 26th February 2027. The Business Partner will work flexibly within our Business Partner team, but is strategically aligned to the Place Directorate.

    Our Business Partners make a big difference to people who live and work in Liverpool and you will have the chance to deliver real, tangible improvements throughout the organisation. We are working at the heart of this transformation and it is an exciting time to join our team.

    As a Transformation Business Partner you will lead on the transformation support, challenge and advice and guidance within directorates, taking a particular role and focus on the define, discover and design elements of transformation initiatives. You will oversee a number of programmes, providing support, leadership and management to Programme Managers and their teams.

    Strategic experience of designing and delivering complex Transformation activity alongside Senior Leaders and corporate support services will be valuable in this role. We are looking to recruit an individual who can hit the ground running, to cover our existing Business Partner during their secondment.

    Our roles operate on a hybrid approach to allow flexibility between home working and office working at the Cunard Building.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • As a Transformation Business Partner, you will provide a business partner approach to support the development and delivery of Programmes within Directorates
    • Our Transformation Business Partners engage with stakeholders at all levels to support the delivery of the projects on time and within defined budgets
    • The post holder, as a Transformation Business Partner, will provide comprehensive, relevant, and high value insights into all projects/programmes
    • The Transformation Business Partner role will provide leadership within Transformation, driving forward improved ways of working and supporting our teams to deliver high quality work

    What We’re Looking For:

    We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering change and making an impact. If you have a Programme Management qualification or significant relevant experience, and you thrive in environments where flexibility and adaptability are key, we want to hear from you. You’ll need to have:

    • A track record in delivering large scale strategic change and enabling programmes on time and to budget
    • Excellent experience of stakeholder management, dealing with senior colleagues across a range of functions
    • Experience of inspiring confidence from your team, peers and senior management
    • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising work to deliver the most critical outcomes. Well-organised and able to manage expectations
    • Ability to create solutions that deliver the best business results for the organisation

    Interviews will take place the W/C 14 July and will up to 90 minutes long, including a presentation on a topic to be disclosed once interviews are arranged. Interview questions will also be shared prior to interview.
