To work in areas across Newark and Sherwood District with Castle House, Newark as office base and Boughton, (Nr Ollerton) Nottinghamshire.

Appointment to this role is subject to a Basic DBS check.

Your role will involve:

  • Managing a range of tenancy duties including creation, enforcement, and sustainability.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between tenants and the Council.
  • Addressing breaches of tenancy and collaborating with Senior Housing Officers on resolutions.
  • Assisting tenants in maintaining their tenancies
  • Taking enforcement action where it is unavoidable.
  • Encouraging tenant involvement in engagement activities to amplify their voices.
  • Building relationships with partner agencies to connect tenants with essential services.
  • Working in the community which includes Community Partnership Hubs

What are we looking for in successful candidates?

  • Proven experience in social housing.
  • A relevant level 4 qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of current housing issues and legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Effective conflict management skills.
  • The ability to provide a high level of customer care.
  • Community development experience would be beneficial

Due to the nature of the role, you must also have access to a vehicle to enable you to travel around the district.
