About the role
We are looking for a candidate with an interest in Energy Efficiency to join our specialist team in Housing Asset Management for this new post. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving housing standards and supporting energy efficiency initiatives across the district.
You will provide technical advice and guidance related to your specialist area, respond to customer service requests and complaints ensuring a high standard of service delivery. You will assist with preparing and managing contractor orders and schedules of works to make improvements to council housing to make them more energy efficient and meet the Councils commitment to sustainability, liaising with contractors to ensure quality and compliance. On-site visits to inspect ongoing work from a quality control and health and safety perspective will be a regular feature for this role.
About you
Previous experience in working in Asset Management or with a degree (or equivalent qualification) in construction or surveying is required for this role. A solid understanding of relevant regulations, building safety legislation, energy efficiency and compliance requirements within social housing is essential, along with some experience in liaising contractors and monitoring works.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills, combined with the ability to analyse data and produce clear, accurate reports. You will also need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle to conduct site visits.
