Erewash Borough Council is on the lookout for a proactive and driven Technical and Administrative Support Officer to join our multifunctional administration team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a wide range of specialised and general administrative support duties are carried out to meet the needs of our diverse service areas.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our busy team, primarily based at our Merlin Way depot in Ilkeston, you’ll deliver high-quality technical and administrative support across a variety of service areas. Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing responsive administrative support to multiple departments across different services
- Handling telephone and email enquiries with professionalism, care and courtesy
- Using IT systems (especially Microsoft Office) to manage and process information
- Inputting and analysing data to support effective decision-making
- Liaising with colleagues, partners, and the public to keep services running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and highly organised
- Skilled in communication and confident dealing with people at all levels, including dealing directly with the public
- Experienced in administrative support and customer service
- A confident user of Microsoft Office and other ICT systems
- Committed to accuracy, service quality, and continuous improvement
