Lead the Way in Children’s Social Care – Become a Team Manager at Sefton Council
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children, young people, and their families? Sefton Council is looking for experienced and motivated Team Managers to join our Support & Protect teams in Children’s Social Care.
In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll inspire and guide a team of social workers to deliver high-quality, child-centred services that safeguard and promote wellbeing. You’ll play a key role in shaping practice, driving service improvement, and ensuring the best outcomes for children and families across Sefton.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, develop, and support a team of social workers
- Manage complex cases and ensure statutory responsibilities are met
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in practice
- Use resources effectively to deliver impactful services
- Champion safeguarding and promote the voice of the child
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified social worker with current SWE registration
- Significant experience in statutory children’s services
- Strong leadership, supervision, and team development skills
- A strategic thinker with excellent communication and decision-making abilities
What we offer:
- Competitive salary - Grade L: £51,802 - £52,805 (pay award pending), + £5,000 Market Supplement
