Job Description

Job Title: Fostering Support Team Manager
Salary: £53,460 - £61,638 per annum
Grade: G
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

About the department

The Fostering Service recruits, assesses and provides ongoing support to our in house foster carers. The Team sits within the Children Looked After Service and works closely with the children's teams to provide good quality homes for our children. This is a dynamic and varied role requiring someone with an in depth knowledge of fostering work.

About the Role

As the Fostering Support Team Manager you will be expected:

  • To line manage the Fostering Support Team who provide supervision, guidance and training to approved foster carers to meet the needs of children and young people.
  • To uphold the Fostering Regulations and the National Minimum Standards.
  • To comply with the practice standards for the service.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Management experience
  • Robust knowledge of fostering legislation
  • Extensive experience of working in fostering services

Essential qualifications: Recognised social work qualification and be a registered social worker


DBS Check: Enhanced Check with Children and Adults Barred List is required
