
Teaching Assistant Level 3
We are recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 35 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time Only (39 Weeks)
Location: Various Locations across the Borough
Team: Educated Other Than at School (EOTAS)

We are seeking dedicated and resilient level 3 teaching assistants to join our supportive team within an EOTAS (educated other than at school) secondary setting.
This is a unique opportunity to support learners who are not currently accessing mainstream education due to emotional, behavioural or medical needs. You will need to demonstrate patience, creativity and a trauma informed approach and be able to work flexibility across different sites, including a pupil referral unit. Relevant, recent experience is desirable.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A Relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or experience.
- Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales in numeracy and literacy. For example NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
- Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes.
- Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities.

Salary range
- £21,966 - £23,413 per year
