The Governors at Black Horse Hill Junior School are looking to appoint a suitably skilled, enthusiastic
and committed Teaching Assistant to join our team to support a pupil with physical disabilities. The
role of the successful candidate will be to enable a child with special needs to access learning and
provision in a mainstream school.

The role will involve manual handling, PEG feeding and intimatecare. Training will be provided.


The successful candidate will have:

  • A warm personality, sense of humour and be a team player.
  • A commitment to inclusion.
  • An ability to develop good relationships with a range of professionals.
  • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • An understanding and commitment to the education of young children.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEN and facilitating their access to the curriculum.
