We are recruiting 3 ALN Teaching Assistants (Level 2) at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 32.5 hours
Working Weeks: 39 Weeks
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed term until 30th April 2027
Location: Bryn Primary School

We are seeking to appoint 3 experienced and highly skilled Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team.
The successful candidates will work with individuals and small groups of pupils with complex Additional Learning Needs (ALN), delivering targeted Additional Learning Provision (ALP) identified through Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
The role includes contributing to planning, adapting learning activities to meet diverse needs, and monitoring pupil progress in line with agreed outcomes. Postholders will work collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and a range of external agencies to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to support, promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive educational outcomes for all learners.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or experience.
- The understanding of relevant polices/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
- Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.

Your employment will be subject to satisfactory documentary evidence of registration, and continuing registration, as a Learning Support Assistant with the EWC.
