TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 2

Pay Band D / SCP 5 – 6, £25,558 - £25,989 pro rata, per annum

Plus SEN Allowance of £1,539 pro rata, per annum

[Actual Salary £16,030 - £16,285 per annum Plus SEN Allowance of £964 per annum]

25.5 hours per week / 46 weeks per year

Fixed term until 31 August 2026

The Governors of Millbrook Primary School wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Reception child with an Educational Health Care Plan.

Candidates should:

• Have completed the NVQ /NCFE Level 2 Teaching Assistants’ Course
• Achieved National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
• Be highly committed, enthusiastic, positive, patient and show good initiative.
• Have an understanding of / experience of working with primary children
• Have an understanding of / experience of special educational needs and disabilities
• Have an understanding of the Early Years Framework / National Curriculum
• Have competent skills in both literacy and numeracy
• Be committed to working with the successful team ethos of Millbrook Community Primary School
• Work closely with the class teacher following plans and targets and the ability to work flexibly
