Teaching Assistant (TA2 Band D)
32.5 hours per week - 39 weeks per year
Fixed term to 31/08/2026
Kingsway Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and committed team. We would like to invite candidates to apply for a TA2 post in our school.
The role involves working predominantly with groups of children, or individuals, both inside and outside of the classroom. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a primary school and understand positive behaviour strategies which motivate and engage learners. An ability to use your own initiative and work effectively as part of a team is important. You will support the children to develop emotional literacy and build self-esteem, social communication skills and social skills including interaction during play. You will encourage independence and support the children in learning to manage their emotions and routines as well as supporting their academic progress.
We are seeking candidates who are willing to learn and can offer patience, resourcefulness and resilience and who can commit to the values and ethos of our inclusive school. Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs would be advantageous.
You will work closely as part of the whole school team to provide the best possible education for our children. Kingsway is a small, inclusive school where the whole school community strives to 'do the best that we can do, be the best that we can be'.
