
Teaching Assistant KS2 - EDGEWICK COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL
Edgewick Community Primary School is seeking a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team starting in September 2026.

What is the job role?The successful candidate will:
• Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
• Work with individuals and small groups to deliver targeted academic and pastoral interventions
• Support children with a range of SEND needs
• Contribute positively to our inclusive ethos and strong sense of community
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to improve outcomes for all pupils
Who are we looking for?The Ideal candidate will:
• Have experience of working with primary-aged children (KS2 experience preferred)
• Be patient, nurturing and adaptable
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion

Experience in the following areas is desirable and would be a strong advantage:
• I Am a Clever Writer
• Voice 21 / Oracy approaches
• SEND interventions and targeted support programmes

Salary range
- £20,674 - £21,674 per year
