Teaching Assistant (KS2)

Mount Nod Primary is a thriving and vibrant school and we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to appoint as a Teaching Assistant to support the teacher in delivering the curriculum to pupils aged 3 to 11 years.

We offer the opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive and creative team with children who are well behaved.

The ideal candidate must have:

• Experience of working with children 3 to 11 years.
• Excellent communication skills in order to develop close partnerships with staff, children and parents.
• Experience of intervention programmes/phonics/maths
• Confidence in planning and working with small groups of children.
• The ability to be flexible and open to working with children of varying and additional needs

Candidates will be required to hold a full and relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

You will have the ability to support the teacher in the planning and organisation of appropriate activities for children aged 3 to 11 years and to work within the agreed framework of procedures.

You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements in order to create a safe, caring and stimulating environment that addresses the needs of the individual child.

You will be required to attend staff meetings and training when required.
