Teaching Assistant initially Early Years - Wyken Croft Primary School

The governors of Wyken Croft Primary School are excited to offer a position of Teaching Assistant within our Early Years to commence in September 2026. Wyken Croft provides an excellent environment for all of the stakeholders of the school. Although we are a large primary school in Coventry, we pride ourselves on knowing each child and family individually allowing our children to achieve their maximum potential. The successful candidate will be expected to;

• Supervise and support the teaching activities of individuals or groups of children/young people to ensure their safety and facilitate in their physical and emotional development.
• Undertake those activities necessary to meet the physical and emotional needs of individuals and groups of children/young people, including those pupils with special educational, physical or emotional needs.
• Monitor individual pupil's progress, achievements, problems and condition, reporting to the responsible teacher as appropriate.
• Actively engage in the pre-determined educational activities and work programmes at a basic level. including the administration of baseline tests, and the use of information technology as appropriate.

The successful candidate will need to:

• Be an exemplary practitioner with a love for learning
  Be motivated and committed to supporting young people in their school environment.
  Have an excellent working knowledge of the curriculum with a drive to support the outcomes of our children within additional needs, their families and staff.
• Be committed to promoting the welfare of and safeguarding of our children
