Salary: £18,836 - £19,432 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30-12.30 half an hour unpaid lunch, 13.00-15.30

Fixed contract for one year only

Fladbury Primary School is entering an exciting new chapter. Following our recent conversion to a full primary school, we are expanding our Key Stage 2 provision and seeking a warm, committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our growing team. Our school motto, Happy Hearts, Open Minds, Bright Futures, guides everything we do. We are looking for someone who will help us bring this vision to life for every child.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils across Years 3–6 and pupils with SEND, helping them thrive academically, socially and emotionally as our school grows into its full primary identity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within KS2 classrooms

  • Working with small groups (typically 1:2) to reinforce key skills and deepen understanding

  • Providing targeted support in English, maths and wider curriculum subjects

  • Assisting with preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation

  • Offering pastoral support that reflects our commitment to nurturing happy hearts

  • Supporting pupils with SEND through tailored strategies and interventions

  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, including clubs, events and enrichment activities

We are seeking someone who brings:

  • Strong communication skills and a warm, positive presence

  • A child‑centred approach rooted in patience, encouragement and high expectations

  • Confidence supporting learning in KS2, particularly in small‑group settings

  • Willingness to learn, reflect and grow as part of a supportive team

  • Experience in KS2 and experience of working with children with additional SEND, including Speech, language and communication needs

  • A collaborative mindset, working closely with teachers and colleagues across the school
