The salary range for this role is £21,552 to £23,077 per annum (£25,052 to £26,825 FTE) based on a 36 hour working week.

About the Organisation

Wey Valley College (WVC) is a 5-16 Alternative Provision school and we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to complement our Key stage 1 & 2 curriculum.

WVC forms part of a Multi Academy Trust under the Inclusive Education Trust (IET) which includes Reigate Valley College, Fordway Centre, Aspire & Alternative College Hub and Rowhill School. Please see our school website, employee prospectus for further details about other schools in the Trust.


About the Role

Make a difference as a Teaching Assistant at Wey Valley College, Guildford.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Primary team of excellent teachers at Wey Valley College (WVC). The role is a permanent position for 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, term time. The successful candidate will have excellent support skills and good all-round knowledge of supporting the education of students and an understanding of special education, mainstream education and / or Pupil Referral Units.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Passionate about inclusion and making sure all students gain an inspirational education.
  • An outstanding practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour who is committed to providing high quality support for all children.
  • Able to maintain and drive forward outstanding standards whilst meeting the needs of a very vulnerable group of students.
  • An excellent communicator, able to work inclusively with pupils, staff, parents, Management Committee and other stakeholders.
