Teaching Assistant required for 19 hours per week to be worked across 4 mornings from 8:30 to 13:15
Ancora House School provides the education to in-patients admitted to Ancora House, the regional adolescent psychiatric unit in Chester. Our school is also commissioned to provide education in the local community for learners not able to access their mainstream school due to ill health.
Ancora House School and Management Committee wish to recruit a highly skilled individual to support teaching and learning in our specialist environment on the Countess of Chester Health Park.
Ancora House School offers a unique experience for the right candidates to develop existing skills and to gain experience of working in this specialist field.
To secure the best possible outcomes for our learners, our outstanding teachers and support staff work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary clinical team that includes doctors, psychiatrists, occupational therapists and speech and language specialists and clinical support staff.
At Ancora House School, learners present with a range of problems that act as barriers to their progress; supporting our SENDCo, you would be performing a critical role in the planning and implementation of strategies to overcome these barriers.
Our school is situated in a state of the art building on the Countess of Chester Health Park; our learners enjoy a suite of classrooms including a fully resourced Science Lab.
