The children, staff and governors at Dronfield Infant School are looking to appoint an experienced, considerate, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our dedicated team from January 2026.

The post involves supporting the learning of SEND pupils in KS1 and EYFS both inside and outside the classroom.

The working pattern for this position is 8.30 am – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday.

We are looking for someone who…:

  • Has experience of working with children inKS1 and EYFS..
  • Has a secure knowledge and experience of working with children with various needs including SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
  • Is warm, friendly and understanding, and is able to form excellent relationships with children, families and staff members.
  • Has high expectations of all aspects of school life for others and for themselves.
  • Has experience of running interventions in a school setting.
  • Has a strong and unwavering commitment to safeguarding children.
  • Has a sense of humour and fully supports all aspects of school life.
