The Governors of Melbourne Infant School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis, starting in January 2026 and working until 31st August 2025 (or until the child leaves the provision).

The successful candidate will work within one of our KS1 classes and will be working with a child with special educational needs; helping them to develop their learning and work towards their educational targets. The successful candidate will be able to motivate and support children within the classroom, undertake other classroom duties to support the class teacher, and work co-operatively within a team.

The successful candidate will hold, or be working towards, a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, with experience of working with primary school aged children. Our children would love to hear from you if you are friendly, kind and fun!

The working pattern for this role will be Monday – Wednesday:

  • Monday – 8.45am-3.20pm (with a 45 minute lunch break between 12.15-1pm)
  • Tuesday – 1pm-3.20pm
  • Wednesday – 8.45am-3.20pm (with a 45 minute lunch break between 12.15-1pm)
