The Headteacher and Governing Body of St Werburgh's Catholic Primary School are
seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and effective teacher to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the next generation of young people; fostering
academic excellence and spiritual growth in a supportive, faith-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and adapted lessons in line with the National
Curriculum, ensuring the spiritual and academic development of our 6 pupils.
Encourage a strong sense of Catholic values, promoting respect, kindness, and
service to others in all aspects of school life.
Monitor and track pupil progress, providing targeted support and interventions to
ensure all students achieve their potential.
Work collaboratively with other teachers, teaching assistants, and parents to support
the holistic development of each child.
To lead a lead a core subject
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities, school
trips, and special events.
Contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school by participating in faith-based activities,prayers, and celebrations.
Key Attributes:
A qualified teacher with QTS and experience teaching in a primary school setting
A commitment to upholding and promoting the Catholic ethos of the school.
A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and experience preparing
students for end-of-key-stage assessments.
A nurturing approach, with the ability to inspire and support students in both their
academic and spiritual journeys.
Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
An understanding of the importance of faith and community in the development of
young learners.
