
Systems Lead (Children's)
This System Lead post sits in our Technology section where you will be supporting applications with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Working with colleagues, our suppliers, and with our partner agencies you’ll deliver real value adding solutions. Your management skills should be on a par with your excellent IT skills in this role, we’re looking for someone who can effectively lead and develop an enthusiastic team.
You will:

- Take lead responsibility for business critical applications of the Council including Application Lifecycle Management
- Provide technical leadership across all aspects of business critical systems, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
- Respond to incidents and service requests across applications in a timely manner.
- Be responsible for application upgrades/developments and take responsibility for integrity of testing and acceptance activities.
To join us, you’ll need a relevant Level 6 qualification and preferably leadership and management training, should you not have a level 6 qualification then you should have a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and extensive experience of supporting business critical applications. We currently operate a hybrid working approach where you’ll have access to Westgate (our main town centre office), various outreach buildings and the opportunity to work from home. We operate a 37-hour working week on a flexi-time scheme (7am and 7pm) and coordinate with one another to maintain a level of service cover between the hours of 9am - 5pm Mon – Thurs and 9am - 4.30pm on Fridays.

Salary range
- £47,181 - £50,269 per year
