Systemic Psychotherapist – Children’s Services

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Systemic Psychotherapist to join our Compass Service (Risk of Care and Reunification) within Children’s Services (Help and Protection). At Wokingham Borough Council, we are passionate about supporting children, young people and families to thrive, especially those facing complex and high-risk challenges.

This is a unique opportunity to bring your therapeutic expertise into a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, as we expand our support offer to include working directly with families while also shaping practice across the wider service.

As a Systemic Psychotherapist, you will play a pivotal role in improving outcomes for children and families by delivering specialist therapeutic interventions, influencing and strengthening practice, and leading reflective and learning spaces.

We’re looking fora qualified Systemic Psychotherapist (or equivalent) who is:

  • Experienced in working with children, young people and families with complex needs
  • Skilled at applying systemic theory within safeguarding contexts
  • Passionate about supporting practitioners and improving outcomes across teams
  • Confident in consultation, formulation and reflective practice facilitation
