The opportunity has arisen for this vacancy within the Asset Management Service. You will be required provide a specification of repair works following the schedule of rates and raising and reviewing asbestos reports. You will be arranging specifications of works that are required to ensure that a Council property will be repaired to the agreed Lettable Standard and Awaabs Law You will also assist in maintaining and ensuring our properties are compliant and comply to HHSRS law ready for new tenants.

You will be required to successfully manage projects and work with contractors to ensure work is being completed to a satisfactory standard and you will need an understanding of the disrepair process. You will work with a proactive team and colleagues across the Housing Service to ensure our properties meet the Lettable Standard and are repaired within the agreed timescales and budget provisions.

The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and contractors is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets. You will need to provide excellent customer service through the delivery of the repairs for our properties.

Applicants must have a driving licence that is valid in the UK.

A Basic check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
