Job Title: Surveying Apprentice
Full Time – 37 hours per week
Castle Point Borough Council is seeking a Surveying Apprentice to join our Estates team within the Commercial & Assets Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in property management, maintenance, and surveying while working towards a formal qualification.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Assist with property and maintenance tasks, including planned preventative maintenance
- Support the coordination of general maintenance across the estate
- Help with audits, inspections, and contractor compliance checks
- Maintain accurate digital records and assist with administrative duties
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, contractors, tenants, and customers
- Actively participate in the apprenticeship training programme
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong IT literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and maintain attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable:
- Full driving licence and own vehicle
- Interest in surveying, project management, or facilities management
