Help a Young Person Take Their Next Step Towards Independence

We're looking for caring, patient and reliable individuals or families to become Supported Lodgings Hosts for young people aged 16-20.

Supported Lodgings offers young people a safe and supportive home while they develop the skills and confidence needed to live independently. As a Host, you'll provide a spare bedroom, practical guidance and positive encouragement to help a young person build a brighter future.

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe, welcoming home environment.
• Help young people develop life skills such as cooking, budgeting and managing a tenancy.
• Encourage education, employment and training opportunities.
• Promote wellbeing, confidence and independence.
• Work with Supported Lodgings staff and other professionals.
• Report any concerns relating to a young person's welfare.

You don't need any formal qualifications. We welcome people from all backgrounds, including those who are working, retired, single, married, homeowners or tenants.

You will need to:

• Be aged 21 or over and be able to work in the UK.
• Have a spare bedroom.
• Be supportive, patient and non-judgemental.
• Have good communication skills.
• Be willing to undertake training and ongoing development.
