About the role
We are looking for a Supervisor to work in the Team of Reablement North. We are looking for a person who is able to inspire and effectively lead a team, supporting the manager and team leaders to ensure that quality standards are met in line with Care Quality Commission requirements. You must be able to work flexibly, enthusiastically and able to deliver to deadlines.
You will require a full working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, experience in supervising staff and be required to work on a rota system covering 7 days a week across the hours of 7.00 am to 11.00 pm.
The Rota covers a mixture of early shifts, late shifts and flex shifts and all hours are worked at the office.
Good communication skills are essential, as the post requires you to co-coordinate with internal and external professionals.
What will you be doing?
- Responding to referrals
- Undertaking social care assessments with customers and evaluating ongoing support plans to meet assessed needs.
- Acting as a key worker for an identified group of customers ensuring support arrangements are regularly reviewed.
- Liaising with health, housing and social care professionals.
- Supervising and appraising a team of staff.
- Identifying training requirements and continued professional development to enable staff to operate more effectively within standards and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate customer records and service records using company IT information systems.
About you
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Social Care or the ability and willingness to undertake training to this level
- Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Previous experience of working in this role, or within a social care or nursing environment with older people
- Proven experience and knowledge of the customer group sufficient to lead, direct and train staff
Salary range
- £34,434 - £36,363 per year
