About the Role
We’re excited to offer a meaningful opportunity to lead a highly effective, strategic HR Function that works with senior leaders to support the delivery of the vision of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority through effective people management practices.
Reporting into the Head of People, you will provide strategic direction and influence best practice to develop contemporary approaches to people policies, workforce planning, organisational change and resourcing.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading a strategic HR function with responsibility for people strategy, workforce planning, a business partner offering, people policies, and resourcing.
- Supporting the organisation and leaders through change and transformation by providing expert strategic advice and ensuring change management processes are carefully, planned, communicated, executed, and evaluated.
- Develop positive working relationships with local authority partners to identify opportunities for sharing of best practice and collaboration.
About the person
The ideal candidate will have CIPD Level 7 or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, a focus on HR best practice and employment legislation, as well as a track record of success working at a senior level within a HR environment.
We are looking for an empathetic, approachable candidate with a style that promotes and fosters an inclusive and productive culture. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential, as is a passion for people.
You will be resilient in your approach and possess demonstrable leadership skills for what is a key role for the organisation.

Salary range
- £59,311 - £70,405 per year
