What will you be doing?

A rare and exciting opportunity to work on developing projects that engage local communities in the Stour Valley in readiness for a stage 2 National Lottery Heritage Fund application. If the development phase is successful it will lead into a full 5 year delivery phase. You will be responsible for communications, profile and branding. The Stour Valley Restore themes cover biodiversity, landscape, heritage, community, access and creative. This is one of two posts in the development phase, the other being a full-time Development Officer.

You will be self-motivated, have experience of working with local communities, including children, organising events, publicity, promotion and branding. Project management skills and knowledge of local countryside and general conservation issues are essential.

The Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership is one of seven countryside partnerships covering the county of Kent.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
