
Stour Valley Restore Development Officer
What will you be doing?
A rare and exciting opportunity to work on developing a scheme, part funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, to plan landscape and habitat work in the Stour Valley. If the development phase is successful it will lead into a full 5 year delivery phase. Themes cover biodiversity, landscape, heritage, community, access and creative. This is one of two posts in the development phase, the other being a part-time Engagement and Communications Officer.
You will be self-motivated, have experience of partnership working in the countryside sector and in producing plans. Project management skills and knowledge of funding is essential as is knowledge of local countryside and general conservation issues. Initiative and tact are also important.
The post could be job shared if there are suitable candidates wishing to work part-time.
The Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership is one of seven countryside partnerships covering the county of Kent.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
