We are looking to appoint a confident and experienced teaching assistant to work with our children with complex SEMH needs; many of whom are ASD/ADHD. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Class Teachers and the SENCO.

We are looking for somebody who:-

  • Has a passion for providing the best learning opportunity for every child, igniting curiosity and developing independence.
  • Loves working with children and is committed to lifelong learning and self-improvement.
  • Has had experience of delivering intervention groups and is confident delivering SEMH based interventions.
  • Is a highly organised individual who has a good level of written and verbal communication.
  • Is able to track and monitor the progress of the children they support and provide feedback to class teachers in a timely manner.
  • Has a high standard of professionalism and is able to hold professional conversations with all stakeholders.
  • Committed to promoting our positive values and helping to strengthen Grange Primary School’s vision and reputation as a valued part of the community.

We can offer you:

  • a welcoming and supportive atmosphere in which to work with a well-resourced SEMH base.
  • happy children who are willing and eager to learn
  • enthusiastic, positive and hard-working colleagues
  • supportive and committed SENCO and Headteacher
  • positive parents who value the school
  • opportunities for professional development

The successful candidate will start employment at Grange Primary School following the Easter Break or sooner if able.

Visits to the school are encouraged prior to the application deadline. Please ring 0115 9734956 if you would like to arrange a visit.

Grange Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
