The Redbridge SEND Advisory and Training service (SENDATS) is one of the largest and most dynamic SEN Teams in the country; approximately 100 specialist teachers, HLTAs and Technicians are all committed to the SENDATS Ethos where the “students’ needs are at the heart of all we do”.
We are looking for a specialist teacher to join our Home Tuition (medical inclusion) Team, to share our passion for developing and promoting our growing reputation, whilst always keeping the best interest of the pupil at the centre of all decision making. The post holders will require significant expertise and experience in the field of pupils with complex and lifelong needs, SEMH, a strong SEND/ Inclusive ethos, and outstanding educational practice focusing on lesson planning and in year admissions to our team. Equally, a strong commitment to preparing young people to move forward and take the next step in their education is a fundamental requirement of this role.
Knowledge of, or experience of working within or alongside the Home Tuition and/or Medical Inclusion services delivering high quality education outside of school settings (including in the home) would be an advantage.
The role will include lesson planning for in year admissions, managing a case load, case recording, monitoring progress and readiness for return to school.
