An opportunity has arisen in the Housing Options Team to work as a Specialist Housing Options Officer.
The Specialist Housing Options Officers help Domestic Abuse Victims and vulnerable housing options clients to maintain their tenancies or provide the necessary support to secure safe accommodation.
Clients can often be in crisis following homelessness and have a wide range of support needs. The team assess the Council’s homelessness duties working closely with a range of statutory and voluntary agencies such as Social Service, the Police, Domestic Abuse Outreach, DWP, Children’s Centres, Citizens Advice Waverley, school link workers and health professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a specialist team and deliver a vital service to vulnerable homeless clients.
It also provides an opportunity to work both within and across Council teams, as well as with other statutory and voluntary agencies.
We need someone with a good understanding of the issues faced by homeless clients and the Council’s legal duties to them as well as having excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Salary range
- £22,683.78 - £38,150 per year
