
Social Worker – Safeguarding Adults Team (qualified)
Job Description
OverviewLondon Borough of Harrow's Adults Social Care Division is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Adults Team.
The post holder is required to provide a professional social work service in the following areas: enquiries (assessments/reviews) into allegations of abuse of a vulnerable adult and attendance at Planning Meetings and Case Conferences and creation/review of protection plans. Some assessments/reviews (enquiries) will be in user’s own homes and some will be in residential care/nursing homes/hospitals therefore the successful candidate will be required to travel for business purposes around the geographical area of Harrow.
In addition to the above, you will be expected to work with all agencies in a multi-disciplinary way, in order to ensure the best co-ordination and efficient protection of service users. Furthermore, this role will require you to cover duty as and when required by the service.
The role will be a job share for 18 hours a week, with the working pattern as below -
Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 2 - Thursday, Friday
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Appropriate professional qualification i.e. CQSW, CSS, Dip. SW or equivalent.
- Social Work England registration.
- Safeguarding Adults experience.
- A working knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 etc.
- Experience of risk assessment and risk management in any social care setting.
- Experience of carrying out mental capacity assessments.
- Experience of working in a duty team (any social care setting).

Salary range
- £42,414 - £45,357 per year
