Be part of something meaningful. Shape futures for young people.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Children’s Social Worker to join our Here4U Care Leavers Team, supporting children we care for, care leavers, and young people seeking safety through asylum.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a real impact—supporting young people as they navigate independence, stability, and their transition into adulthood.

About the Role

Working within the Here4U team, you’ll deliver high-quality, relationship-based social work that empowers young people and keeps them safe. You’ll work closely with carers, families, and partner agencies to co-produce plans that support long-term outcomes and independence.

This is a dynamic, collaborative environment where your practice will be rooted in relational and systemic approaches, ensuring young people feel heard, supported, and prepared for the future.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering child-centred, relationship-based social work practice
  • Supporting children in care (16+), care leavers, and young people seeking asylum
  • Co-producing plans with young people, carers, and professionals to promote stability and independence
  • Undertaking direct, meaningful work that strengthens relationships and builds resilience
  • Preparing clear, accurate reports for professionals and court where required
  • Participating in care planning, safeguarding meetings, and reflective supervision
  • Supporting young people to develop independence skills and prepare for adulthood
  • Staying up to date with legislation, policy, and best practice

About You

We’re looking for a passionate and committed Social Worker who is driven to make a difference to young people at a pivotal stage in their lives. You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification (BA, MA, or MSc) and have experience working directly with children and families within a multi-agency environment. You’ll bring a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, alongside the ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships through a relational approach. You’ll be confident in assessing needs and risk, working collaboratively with partners, and producing high-quality reports. A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and corporate parenting principles is essential, along with a desire to continuously learn and develop your practice. Experience or interest in systemic practice would be beneficial.

Why Join Here4U?

  • Be part of a dedicated service supporting young people aged 16+
  • Work within a supportive, collaborative team environment
  • Opportunities to develop your practice and career
  • Hybrid working across community, home, and office settings
  • Make a lasting difference to young people transitioning into adulthood

Our Commitment to Young People

At Here4U, we are committed to ensuring every young person feels supported, safe, and prepared for their future. You’ll play a key role in delivering our Corporate Parenting responsibilities, championing the voice of the young person and helping them achieve positive, lasting outcomes.
