    We are seeking a qualified and experienced social worker to join our growing team within Preparing for Adulthood Service (PfA) will be key to providing quality social work to the people of Hackney.

    You will join our dynamic, integrated multi-disciplinary community service which provides specialist health and social care services to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in Hackney.

    As a social worker within PfA, you will be key to providing support to the adults, young people and families of Hackney utilising professional curiosity, legislation and policy to achieve the very best outcomes for our residents.

    The Preparing for Adulthood Service (PfA) is passionate about supporting young people to lead a life of their choice. Our individualised approach maximising independence and promoting wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. As a multidisciplinary team our social work practitioners work closely with health disciplines, sharing skills, knowledge and experience to ensure the delivery of quality and robust services for our residents. Our service is proud of its strength based, trauma informed practice that promotes inclusivity and understands intersectionality in practice.

    PfA offers exciting opportunities to experience the breadth of social work from Care Act (2014) assessments and safeguarding through to complex court of protection work and mental health admissions. Working closely with our partners in Children's Services and Education our multidisciplinary team comprises psychology, psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics as well as speech and language therapy.

    PfA works with young people between the ages of 18-21. If successful, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally with access to Hackney's strong training offer, whilst working with young people with mental health diagnosis, autism, learning disabilities and or physical disabilities.

    An enhanced DBS check is required
