We are recruiting a Social Communication Teacher at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 32.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: St Helens RC Primary School


We pay an attractive salary of £33,731 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This post attracts a SEN2 of £2,697 per annum, in addition to the annual salary.

The successful candidate will have experience of teaching pupils with additional educational needs and integrating them successfully into a busy and vibrant primary school.

Experience of delivering a tailored curriculum and supporting children with social communication needs would be an advantage. The successful candidate will need to foster meaningful and supportive relationships with parents/carers and outside agencies.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Knowledge of ‘A Curriculum for Wales’ and its implications on teaching and learning.
  • Ability to create a challenging and effective learning environment and have effective pupil management skills.
  • The ability to be resilient under pressure and remain positive and enthusiastic.
