The governors of Dawpool CE Primary School wish to appoint a proactive, reliable and dedicated Site Manager to join our friendly and supportive school community. The position is full-time with a split shift which can be discussed.

We are looking for an experienced and committed individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented school environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, well organised and able to work independently, with the practical skills and initiative to identify and address issues before they become problems.

The role will involve the efficient maintenance, security and development of the school building and grounds, ensuring that the site provides a safe, clean and stimulating environment for our pupils, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will have practical maintenance skills and the ability to undertake minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school site is maintained to a high standard and will work closely with the Headteacher, staff, contractors and external agencies. A good understanding of health and safety procedures, site security and compliance requirements would be advantageous.

  • Can identify and resolve issues efficiently and appropriately.
  • Has a good understanding of health and safety and site security.
  • Is well organised and able to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is able to work independently whilst also being a supportive member of our school team.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Will actively support our Christian vision and values.
