About the role
Hertfordshire County Council Services for Young People (HCC SfYP) is recruiting a Project Officer to deliver the Future Ready Programme to 375 students across Hertfordshire
to receive 10 days of immersive, progressive multi-year work experience aimed at improving career readiness and foundational employability skills. This programme is based on the equalex approach to modern work experience
You will deliver bespoke and progressive high-quality modern work experiences to socio-economically disadvantaged young people to improve their career readiness, employability and foundational work readiness skills.
Increase the capability and capacity of employers to deliver high quality work experience to disadvantaged young people.
Improve the evidence base and dissemination of how to deliver best in class work experience opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
About you
Essential:
- Legal rights to work in the UK.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills with good attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Able to understand the barriers that young people face
- Ability to build rapport with young people and education settings
- Ability to build relationships between local/national employers and the school caseload
- Good ICT skills
