About the role
Hertfordshire County Council Services for Young People (HCC SfYP) is recruiting a Careers Education and Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) Practice Manager to manage a team of Advisers that deliver high-quality work and support for young people in Stevenage and North Herts.
The role will include: To lead an area team to ensure best practice, achievement of targets and quality standards in the effective delivery of CEIAG (Careers Education and Information, Advice and Guidance) within a variety of settings.
To ensure that the needs of all clients are met, so that they are able and motivated to engage in education, training, work opportunities and constructive activities that lead to successful transitions and positive destination outcomes.
To develop and respond to new initiatives in line with the Service priorities, working to strategic aims and objectives.
About you
Essential:
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills with good attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to performance manage a team to a high standard
- Able to understand the barriers that young people face
- To be able to work to and achieve targets
- To understand the needs of the young people, and service delivery
- Good ICT Skills
