We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English tutors to teach adults across Leicestershire.

About the Role
We are a county wide provision that offers a wide range of courses and qualifications from Entry level to Level 2 both in person, at venues across Leicestershire, and through distance learning. As a tutor, you will plan and deliver inspirational and effective teaching and learning to adult learners aged 19 and above. You will create an environment where learners can reach their full potential and provide learners with a high-quality learning experience. You will be confident in recording and monitoring learner progress and ensuring that learners meet their goals. You will have the support of a team of English tutors and lead practitioners, access to a wide range of resources for teaching and learning, as well as your own professional development.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:
- Hold a nationally recognised teaching qualification and provide evidence of English and maths qualifications at Level 2 / GCSE Grade 4/C or above
- Have a strong track record of teaching English in an educational setting (ideally Adult or Further Education)

Be confident teaching a wide range of levels and able to adapt your teaching to support your learners and meet their needs; experience of delivering Functional Skills is desirable
- Understand the barriers faced by adult learners and those returning to learning
- Be confident with using technology for work and in the classroom; experience of teaching online would be an advantage

Be prepared to work county wide and have one evening available to teach.
- Experience of conducting internal verification for Functional Skills SLC assessments is desirable.
