About the Role
Join Havering Council as a Service Administrator and play a vital role in supporting the Safeguarding and Corporate Parenting Service. You’ll manage communications, organise diaries, coordinate meetings, and maintain accurate records to ensure smooth service delivery. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll work closely with senior managers and teams across the council to help deliver excellent services for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Organise diaries and schedules for senior management.
- Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and take accurate minutes.
- Maintain records and databases in line with policies.
- Support administrative tasks such as arranging birth certificates and passports.
- Coordinate with internal teams for seamless service delivery.
- Provide cover for other Service Administrators when required.
What You’ll Bring
- GCSE level education or equivalent qualification/business experience.
- Experience in administrative support within local authority, health, education, or similar settings.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information in line with GDPR.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
