Croydon Council has around 12,000 residential properties. The Council has recently implemented NEC Housing as its replacement to the OHMS Housing Management system. The system manages all Housing Services and includes the Estates, Repairs, Rents, Service Charges, Allocations, Housing Advice, Property Purchase, lettings and Housing Online modules.

We are recruiting a Senior Systems Support officer to manage a support team for NEC Housing. The team will triage service calls and manage the automated GPI jobs interfaces and Direct Debit runs, responding appropriately as issues arise and provide training to users. This role will manage that team and deputise for the Housing Digital Systems Manager.

In addition to the existing modules, there is a programme of enhancement whereby a separate team will implement or re-configuring the following service areas in NEC Housing:

  • Online repair reporting
  • Task Manager
  • NEC CRM
  • NEC CBL
  • Housing Online
  • Servicing
  • Disrepair
  • Document management integration
  • NEC Assets
  • NEC Go-Mobile
  • Reporting / Power BI
  • NEC Data Warehouse & Dashboards
  • NEC Support Services

These service areas will be supported by the Systems Support team as they come on line.

This post, located in the Council Housing Services Directorate, will focus on managing the team:

  • Supporting the production and analysis of operational, financial and performance data, including the discharge of the Council’s statutory responsibility for reporting of national performance and statistics

  • Driving systems use and data compliance with established policies, procedures and standards

  • Monitoring and managing automated routines, HFI interfaces and GPI jobs and maintaining documentation and schedules

  • Maintaining security job roles and updating user profiles for starters and leavers

  • Managing the report distribution routines

  • Assisting services to use their line of business applications effectively

The role is offered on a full time 36hrs per week, permanent basis. Most of the work will be delivered remotely although there is a requirement to attend Head Office at least one day per month to attend team meetings or when the role requires in-person meetings.

You will need to have experience of at least two years working on an NEC Housing and managing a support function. You will need to demonstrate a pro-active approach to your role including the ability to manage your workload with minimal supervision, to work as part of a team, and to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to support the application and our users.
