  • Own strategic projects – Lead strategic projects with council services and external partners around our shared priorities.
  • Translate strategic priorities into action - Helping partners and services align their work with the vision and deliver real change on the ground.
  • Build and broker relationships - With anchor institutions, businesses, community organisations, and residents to co-design and deliver impactful initiatives.
  • Support innovation and learning - Creating space for experimentation, sharing lessons, and scaling up what works.
  • Champion equity and inclusion - Ensuring our work reflects the borough’s diversity and tackles systemic inequalities.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • A deep understanding of the strategic challenges facing Tower Hamlets and a commitment to the Our Tower Hamlets 2025-2035 vision.
  • Proven experience of leading strategy development and own strategic projects and contributing to strategic projects.
  • The ability to use data and insight to understand complex challenges and work with stakeholders to develop solutions.
  • Strong facilitation and engagement skills with the ability to engage elected members, senior officers, and residents.
  • Good political awareness and an understanding of how to work within complex organisational and community landscapes.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
  • Clear and compelling communication skills, with the ability to write and present ideas for different audiences.

What We Offer

  • A chance to be part of a bold and inclusive vision for Tower Hamlets.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
