
Senior Social Workers
Permanent – Full time

We are currently recruiting multiple experienced Senior Adult Social Workers to join Adults Social Care Team in Redbridge. These are permanent positions and offer an excellent opportunity skilled social workers to take on a leadership role within an integrated adult social care service, supporting vulnerable adults while guiding and developing a multidisciplinary team.
These roles are ideal for professionals with strong experience in adult social work, complex case management, safeguarding, and integrated health and social care services who are looking to progress into a senior-level position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership and support to the team within an integrated adult social care service.
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required, supporting operational and service delivery responsibilities.
- Oversee and contribute to complex assessments, care planning, and reviews for adults with a wide range of care and support needs.
- Carry out statutory responsibilities in line with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on statutory duties and best practice within adult social work.
- Prepare court reports and represent the service in court or Court of Protection hearings, providing professional evidence where required.
- Promote a strengths-based, asset-focused approach to support individuals to maintain independence within their homes and communities.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals and partner agencies to deliver coordinated care and support within the community.
- Support hospital discharge planning and admission avoidance strategies, ensuring individuals receive appropriate community-based support.
- Lead the implementation of evidence-based practice and service improvements across the team.
- Provide supervision, line management, and professional guidance to team members from both health and social care disciplines.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams, services, and partner organisations.
- Promote integrated working within health and social care frameworks to achieve positive outcomes for service users and carers.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Registration with Social Work England (or eligibility to register).
- Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and statutory social work practice.
- Experience managing complex adult social care cases within a local authority or community setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, supervision, and professional guidance to a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.

Experience:
- Good previous experience as an Adult Social Worker
Licence/Certification:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work (required)
- Registration with Social Work England (required)
