    Community Protection & Licensing | Full‑time | Lynton House

Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.

We’re looking for a confident, motivated Senior Property Licensing Processing Officer to lead a team or processing officers and help deliver a high quality, customer focused licensing service.

    In this role, you will:

    • Supervise and support Processing Officers to meet KPIs and service standards.
    • Handle complex licensing decisions, including exemptions, revocations and fit and proper assessments.
    • Liaise with internal teams and external partners such as Police, Fire Safety and HMRC.
    • Respond to customer enquiries, complaints and FOIs with professionalism and accuracy.

    About you:

You’ll bring strong organisational skills, excellent communication, experience of managing people and performance management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of housing legislation and property licensing is desirable.

If you’re proactive, detail driven, and passionate about improving housing standards, we’d love to hear from you
